Raised in Tamworth, New South Wales, being surrounded by country music moved Elysian in the opposite direction stylistically. Guided by a single minded obsession with finding beauty in the world around him, he released his first single, 'Edge of infinity' while doing his HSC. After finishing school, he released his second single, 'Fantasy', and then began to explore the possibility of creating an album. this led him to create his 14 track debut album 'Who is Elysian?', finishing the last track less than a week after his 18th birthday. After the tumultuous lockdown period of 2020, Elysian moved to Sydney to pursue an independent career in the arts. Writing, producing and performing all of his music himself, he now creates alt-pop inspired music in the vein of the 1975, Halsey, and Khalid, with a focus on the Gen-Z experience and the effects of modernity on the mind. He is currently working to promote his new EP, Thanks to Modernity, which is releasing on the 7th of July, 2021.
