Emilie Haines is a 22 year old aspiring country music singer raised in Kinglake Victoria. After completing high school she studied horsey stuff at Glenormiston College in Western Victoria and went on to work as a horsey chick on feed lots in New South Wales. She is now a full time dairy farmer in northern Victoria and enjoys barrel racing at rodeos when she gets a day off. It was as a contestant in the National Rodeo Queen Quest in 2010 that Emilie was given her first opportunity to display her talent as a singer. Since then she has been singing the national anthem at rodeos across Victoria. In 2012 Emilie won the open talent quest at Whittlesea Country Music Festival. Emilie describes her style as “Country with a bit of a funky groove about it.” She is currently working on her first album, and hopes to have a full length release together by mid 2013.
