In a scene dominated by guitar driven quartets, a band consisting of just two might seem almost a novelty, However the unlikely coupling of classically trained pianist Emily and rock loving guitarist Grant, together known as “Idle55” marked the arrival of a formidable and fascinating addition to both the Australian Music Scene and the tradition of musical duos. Currently Idle55 are locked away in their home studio, writing and recording the new album “Behind Closed Doors”. As always with idle these new songs will feel and sound like a new direction, even though at the same time they will display all the recognizable elements that make them unique. “Behind closed doors” will be released in early 2012. http://www.emilygrant.com.au/bio
