Escapism is an Adelaide 4 piece band that draws influences from a variety of musical genres including rock, blues, soul, funk and hip-hop. They came together in 2011 when lead singer, Jesse Francis, joined the instrumental jam group already formed by Sam Tomkins (lead guitar), Nick Murray (bass) and Hamish Scanlon (drums). When Jesse entered into the jam sessions and started to lay down some vocal tracks everything clicked and Escapism was born.

Escapism is an audiovisual project centered around making stupid music, pointless animations and useless images. The combination of these elements presents a unique opportunity to waste your time and life for a few minutes.
