Providing ‘wonderfully sweet’ guest vocals on Whitley’s single ‘My Heart is not a Machine’, local Melbourne musician Esther Holt’s introduction to the Australian public was in 2013 when she travelled with her band to perform with Whitley around Australia and at Splendour in the Grass. Whilst Esther has one full release to her name she is no stranger to the Melbourne music scene, performing at local venues as a regular guest vocalist with Yuko Nishiyama and Lily Parker. Producer Colin Leadbetter (Whitley, Sarah Blasko) was enlisted on production duties for Esther’s debut EP ‘Countless Verse’ which received spins on radio stations Triple R, FBi and 4ZZZ. After taking some time out to write and record, this time Lawrence Greenwood (Whitley, Sleep Decade) has jumped on board with Leadbetter for her follow up EP ‘Cat & Mouse’.
