I started playing the piano when i was 8 in 1990, had lessons for 5 years then went on my merry way. every time i play something or record something, it has never been played before. my songs are improvisations that express whatever is being thought and felt at the time and they can never be played the same way again. if any of them don't get recorded, they will probably not be remembered. For this reason, their titles are the date they were played to reflect their position in time and space. This was played on December 3rd, 2020, after a year of living on my own during lockdown in Melbourne. It was not a good time for me and my mental health has suffered, however as the year got closer to not being around anymore, space started to open up again for happier thoughts and these were reflected in the sounds that were being played. The piano was an absolute lifeblood for me last year and the recordings from 2020 and 2021 pretty much reflect where things were at
