INGREDIENTS: Guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, congas, bongos, tambourines, sticks, shakers, Ben, JC, Floyd and Chif. METHOD: Drag three like-minded musicians from a disparate group of indie bands, add a healthy dose of psychadelic pop sensibility to a rock and roll lifestyle, blend influences ranging from Echo and the Bunnymen to Green Day, Placebo to Underground Lovers and Radiohead to Nick Cave and stir wildly. Cook for several afternoons in a hot rehearsal studio, warm valve-amps turned to '11'. RESULTS: Delicious! Drawing on a melting pot of influences, the factory sound is a blend of indie rock, dark grooves and melancholic rock, evolving and dynamic, rooted in bass yet led by guitars and keys, telling stories about people on the fringe. SERVING SUGGESTION: Played LOUD on JJJ! You know that new ear-candy you've been lookin` for? ... well listen to this!
