FID was originally a six piece band playing a combination of Marilyn Manson covers and grungy originals at venues such as the Old Reynella Youth Centre. They received a considerable amount of attention due to their bizarre, shock rock antics, intense stage presence and fervent drive to aurally interrogate the audience. ~ The journey was a short one however as Faith In Decay drove itself into self destruction, forcing a three year hiatus. Three of its members then reformed, creating ‘Decaying Deceased,’ an improved version of the band with a new taste for originality and the dormant potential to succeed. ~ However, due to a lack of money, time and an unexplainably erratic following, Decaying Deceased were forced to hold back just as events began to go their way. To make matters worse the Drummer, Lucy Monostone, suffered a grisly work injury which severely limited his drumming ability, forcing him to take a year off at such a critical point in time for the band. Time passed. ~
