Based in the vibrant city of Newcastle, Australia, Farrelly possesses a unique insight into the depths of emotion and the intricacies of the human psyche, infusing his music with a profound understanding of what it means to be human. When he's not captivating audiences with his soul-stirring melodies and hard-hitting lyrics, Farrelly can be found lending his expertise as a psychologist. His dual role allows him to navigate the complexities of human emotion both on and off the stage, offering listeners a glimpse into the depths of the human soul through his music. But Farrelly's contributions extend beyond his musical endeavours. As the curator of the Novocastrian Soundwave playlist—a Spotify compilation featuring exclusively local original content—Farrelly is a staunch advocate for promoting emerging talent within his community. The playlist, promoted throughout public establishments in the city, serves as a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their work and connect with a wider audience. In his latest venture, Farrelly is spearheading NewMu, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to championing local music at minimal or no cost to the artists. Through NewMu, Farrelly seeks to create opportunities for musicians to thrive in an industry often fraught with barriers to entry, fostering a vibrant and inclusive music scene within his community. Farrelly's commitment to elevating local talent and amplifying the voices of the unheard speaks volumes about his character and integrity as both an artist and a humanitarian. His music serves as a rallying cry for change, a testament to the power of art to transcend boundaries and unite communities. With influences ranging from Nirvana to The Pogues, Farrelly's eclectic sound is as diverse as his myriad interests and passions. Yet, amidst the cacophony of genres lies a singular voice—one that speaks truth to power and refuses to be silenced. As he continues to push the boundaries of music and advocacy, one thing remains abundantly clear: Farrelly is not just an artist—he's a visionary on a mission to change the world, one note at a time.
