"Gracefully genre bending between multiple styles, these top notch tooters are original, seductive and sophisticated, keeping your torso undulating across every accent." - Luke Dubber (Hermitude) This band meshes together a bunch of styles from around the world; from afrobeat to klezmer, to mariachi and middle eastern. Throw in some boogaloo and ska, fun and slightly off-kilter vocals plus epic improvised solos, and that's a Fat Yahoozah! This band's seven talented, seasoned and versatile musicians have played with popular groups such as The Bakery, Mister Ott, Sirens Big Band, On The Stoop and Watussi. Bandleader, trumpeter and composer Ellen Kirkwood created the band with a burning desire to make music for people to party to, that includes grooves from her favourite styles from around the world. The music of Goran Bregovic, the Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Fela Kuti, Mariachi El Bronx, the Crusty Suitcase Band and many others have influenced Ellen's musical creations for this band.
