What began as an ordinary jam session, one day in the summer of 1986, turned into a prolonged experiment in musical mayhem and narrative novelty. The name Fate vs. Free Will Turn Signals refers to the paradoxical nature of improvisation: the intention of the artist seems to coalesce with that of the other musicians, as if by happenstance.
