Formed in Brisbane 1991, FatEgo are amongst the first bands to play The Zoo, which in those days you sat on the floor and busked for money. They supported Diesel, Def FX, Pangaea plus more famous Brisbane bands from the era. They were finalist in the M rock music awards three years running. With regular airplay on Costa Zouiious's Brisbane JJJ show, FatEgo were set to climb the ladder when a tale of Drugs and Mental Illness ceased the band in 1996. Their Red Zeds Jeff Lovejoy recorded promo album from 1992 lay undiscovered in a warehouse until 2020. Now re-released, FatEgo take the opportunity to highlight mental health awareness and the dangers of long term drug abuse. RIP Michael Jeffs.
