Fiontan Cassidy is a new 21-year old Australian singer-songwriter who has been popping up in pub corners and festival back stages for the last few years. Taking after Australian acoustic balladeers like Didirri, Gretta Ray and Paul Kelly, his live performances are an intimate affair, often just a man and a guitar. Hailing from the sleepy town of Launceston, Tasmania, his songs are straight forward, personal stories that tackle the inevitabilities of small-town living: Getting older, getting drunker, and wishing you were at the beach. Fiontan’s debut single was produced and mixed by Australian mixer & producer Kyran Daniel, known for his recent succes with Gretta Ray’s Heal You In Time and productions for Pinkish Blu and Sod Ven.
