My name is FKA Franky, and I’m a rapper out of Perth, Western Australia. With bars and flows inspired by artists ranging from Freddie Gibbs to Suicide Boys, Joey Bada$$ to 21 Savage, the pool of inspiration drawn from is wide and varied. I came in young and heavy through Big L, Nas, Wu Tang and the 90s New York scene. If you wanna know about fashion, the anime Great Teacher Onizuka made an impression on me when I was young, he’s as fly a guy as you get. I also fuck with Palm Angels, ACW, CDG, Rocky and the hip hop influence in fashion in the hardcore scene lately. Teaming up in 2020 with freshly formed (but individually seasoned) production collective Staywell, long hours in the studio with my man, producer Matt Templeman, had us making sounds we knew would pop and lock with punchy lyrical bars and experimental, trapping beats.
