FOLIA are an alt-pop duo out of Melbourne. The pair (Claire Bristow and Calvin Regester) met in late 2016 and started developing their sound after realising their mutual respect for influential duos/trios continuing to shape the alternative and independent music scene. Whilst influenced by many genres, they best describe their sound as alternative/ambient-pop and are influenced by acts such as London Grammar, The XX, Daughter and Vallis Alps. The pair are co-involved in all aspects of their music from song-writing to production. The duo’s first release ‘Heart Beat’ received radio play both in Australia and the UK and featured in numerous publications. Happy Mag touted them as “Melbourne’s answer to London Grammar”, and the AU Review named the track single of the day. Their latest single, ‘Maybe (I Don’t Know What Love Is)’ was self-produced and recorded, and mixed by KLLO's Simon Lam. The single will feature on their upcoming debut EP, due for release early 2019.
