FOLKLORE began in early 2012 as an acoustic project of long term band-mates, Andrew and Christian. Over time, Folklore has grown to a four-piece outfit, with Lizzie joining on vocals at the start 2013 and Nick taking the role of keyboardist in 2015. The music of Folklore works from a grounding in progressive rock and gypsy jazz, with influence drawn from Middle Eastern, Indian and Celtic styles to create lush, organic and energetic music with an element of mysticism. Late 2015 will see the release of Folklore’s debut EP: Follow the Embers, a culmination of many years of musical development. A fusion of three part vocal harmonies, technically aggressive guitars, roaring percussion and luscious keys, Folklore will transport you through natural and ethereal landscapes.
