Fondula’s dirty yet stylish grooves combined with high energy vocals make for a distinctive blend of high octane rock 'n' roll not to be missed. The band's influences provide a heady mix of melody with rough and ready rock, elements of jazz, latin and soul that sees vocalist Martelle Hammer drawing comparisons to the likes of gritty divas such as Patti Smith and Chrissie Amphlet. Hammer's haunting lyrics and skill as a vocalist combined with a powerful cascading rhythm section, serve up a liberating cocktail of millennium edged rock. From melodic basslines, eclectic guitar driven melodies to impassioned, energetic drumming, the result is a sound that is distinctive and instantly recognisable.
