Fox & Fowl have firmly cemented themselves as one of Brisbane’s most promising up-and-coming bands since the release of their debut EP in April 2014. Selling out numerous venues including Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane, MUM at World Bar in Sydney and (almost) The Toff In Town in Melbourne for their EP launch tour, they’re clearly on a speedy upward trajectory. The band capped off last year supporting bands such as We Are Scientists, Eagle & The Worm, The Trouble With Templeton, British India, as well as an East Coast tour with Hightails and an absolutely packed headline show at Sydney’s Standard Bowl. It was a huge year. Then, out of nowhere, enter super producer Steven Schram. The news came through that the band had won a grant through John Butler’s The Seed Fund to head down to Melbourne and record with Schram (San Cisco, Paul Kelly, Eagle & The Worm).
