When Frankie turned eleven she was named the next Avatar, she ran away from the temple she had called home fearing her powers and responsibility. Traveling South on a great dragon named Saphira Frankie did battle with the Usurper who wished to take the throne from the last of the dragon kings. Injured in her victory Frankie sought shelter with traveling gypsies who taught her their craft.
