Fraudband have a much anticipated debut long player, recorded, mixed and mastered in Melbourne by Loki Lockwood (The Drones/Harry Howard & NDE/Sun God Replica etc). This record marks a clear step forward in the band refining its sound as they set themselves for an Australian tour as well as their debut European tour. The band has previously been described as “evoking a raga-damaged Sonic Youth” (Mess + Noise) and having an “all-pervading disparateness (to their) music that makes it so exceptional” (The Sound Barrier). This long player highlights these elements within the Fraudband guitar-drums tango that they exemplify. The record features current video single “Keyed In” as well as fresh takes of previous singles, “(I’ve got an) Eastern Bloc” and “Special Time”. Live Fraudband has proven itself to have wide appeal without playing to the lowest common denominator. Their music resonates as authentic yet going out on a limb with intensity. There is risk, and there is passion in this
