Friends of Friends are an Australian band creating genre-blurring music that’s raw, atmospheric, and emotionally unfiltered. With jarring guitars, cinematic textures, and visceral storytelling, they’ve built a loyal following through fearless DIY ethic and relentless creativity. Praised by triple j as “great, lethal modern rock,” they’ve also featured in Kerrang! Magazine alongside Turnstile and Neck Deep — a testament to their growing momentum both locally and abroad. At the heart is Barnaby Baker, a multi-instrumentalist born to British parents whose love of britpop and distortion shapes their sound. Joined by Frank Christian, who brings a global edge with his Filipino heritage, Morgan Blake on drums pushing creative limits and delivering monster performances, and Jess Cameron, a seasoned Australian tour veteran on bass, Friends of Friends craft a sonic world where beauty and chaos collide — the future of Australian music: diverse, bold, and impossible to box in.
