From The Ashes is a band formed in late 2011 by Vocalist Paddy McDermott, Lead Guitarist Luke O'Meara, and Bass Guitarist Angus Kininmonth after the failing of their previous band. These 3 then proceeded to contact Drummer Ben Hogan, and Rhythm Guitarist Mason Gibbs (Knowing their previous band had fallen through as well) to complete their lineup and become "From The Ashes". They played their first gig on October 7th, 2011 at a Fundraiser for Labyrynthine Productions playing to 2 drunk members of the onlookers who knew only the songs covered by the band. This did not dishearten them however, and they proceeded to push themselves, find more shows to play, and build a small, but loyal fan base in their hometown of Townsville. In late 2012, however, Mason left the band to pursue other musical interests. Liam White quickly filled the slot, and From The Ashes was quickly back on top of things.
