Fukushima Death Fish are a Newcastle-based quintet, specialising in what they lovingly refer to as ‘gamma-roasted, avo-toasted apocalyptic jams’. Their message is one of a world in decay - of opulence, waste & rampant consumerism, however, their attitude hints at an optimism that we can change our trajectory & live in a more sustainable, harmonious way with Mother Earth, without compromising on NOISE. Fukushima Death Fish’s music is a compelling blend of jazz, rock, funk & doom with a penchant for unexpected twists, turns & textures. Progressive & punchy, oriental lunchy ~ unlike any you’ve tasted before. From desolate, desert soundscapes to ripping, roadrunner riffs; from wonky caterwauling to poignant, poetic prose; Fukushima Death Fish is the renaissance band for the 21st century.
