As of November 2013, Fushia is unfortunately no more. Ryan (vocals/ guitar) is currently going around town with his folk/pop project, Neighbour. In late 2011, Fushia released and toured nationally the toe tapping single 'Nocturnal' which won them the National Youth Week songwriting award. Having recently released the brand new 'Open Invite' things only got better. It was released in March 2012 and received stunning reviews from Rave Magazine (Release of the week), 4ZZZ, Deaf Ambitions, Aussie Playlist and Deerhead Press. Rave Magazine called it "Catchy as hell electro indie rock" stating that Fushia are "bringing together fast, upbeat indie rock and electro and synth-pop, Fushia have stuck their heads above the crowd on the ear-pleasing Open Invite." The latest single 'Pilot' was released in March 2013. It's had much love from fans, was nominated for a Queensland Music Award and poses a different side to the band.
