Future State is a creative duo located in the Blue Mountains, NSW. They blend trip-hop, modern pop, and elements of jazz. Drawing inspiration from artists like Florence and the Machine, Portishead, and Massive Attack, they are constantly challenging themselves to step outside of their creative comfort zone. Ally Oliver brings her love of folk songwriters and alt-pop powerhouses and lends it to Stuart Cam’s brooding electronic production, built up over years of DJ’ing in Bristol’s thriving Drum & Bass scene, self-taught production and love of analog synthesizers.
