Fuzu's recent stint in the studio recording their new EP, The Point, seems to have gone well. "When you hear the sound that's in your head coming through a set of speakers, it's a pretty exhilarating experience," explains singer & lyricist Grant Young. "Since the last EP our material has taken a dfferent slant, so we were keen to capture those new sounds. Sean [Carey, Engineer] was really attuned to what we wanted, and was able to really capture the essence of where we are." While the electronica themes of their earlier material have taken a step back, Dominik and Grant's dual guitar attack has brought a new dimension to the band's performances. The tight rhythm section of Sean and Toby – forged through spirited live performances – now provides an even stronger driving pulse. The pop aesthetic remains evident in the new recordings, as do the catchy, propelling grooves; now augmented with a fiery guitar presence.
