Born into a gifted artistic family in Canberra, Australia, and immersed in drawing, painting and all forms of Art from a very early age, Jayme quickly showed his burgeoning talents for skilful illustration and masterly painting, tutored first by his art-teacher mother and then by the world-class Juliet Holmes A Court. Through connections in the art world he then met and was inspired by several legendary Australian musicians and mentored by a full-time musician and producer from L.A., so that by his late teens he had meshed his artistry fully into the world of music. His first band – ‘Zuzu Angel’ – followed soon after in 2011, playing gigs for ‘Midnight Oil’ (one of Australia’s most successful music exports) as well as hundreds of other venues in Melbourne and Sydney and giving numerous radio interviews until 2014, when his band acted as supporting artist for world-renowned ‘Icehouse’, the top Australian group. Jayme is now working with an advanced vocal coach – David Sowden – trained by the legendary Seth Riggs of Stevie Wonder fame, with the result that by channelling his uniquely talented background in art, music and all forms of creative expression, Jayme is now writing, recording and playing the powerful, dynamic words and music he was born to write and play at venues around Australia and beyond.
