Originally a mashup creator on YouTube, Sam Beros produces arcade-y, synth based pop music from Melbourne, Australia under the moniker Gallagath. The Gallagath sound consists of a few standards: lo-fi vocoder vocals, ambient sweeping synths, and the will to be truly honest, if nothing else. Beros' latest project - 2022 album 'Abnormal Nocturnal' - touches upon the depressive haze that living a life of internet-fuelled isolation can create, all while refining his vocoded, video game-inspired sound into something almost hyperpop-adjacent.
