These past two years Gasworks have been local rock's best kept secret: playing inner western Sydney's pub circuit they've been blitzing packed houses with their powerful stage act, political message and great sense of humour all the while thrilling punters and publicans alike. Drawing on influences ranging from 60's protest to grunge they've cut a swathe through many a disinterested bar room mob and left them dancing on tables by closing time. Gasworks oppose the hostile political regime currently in power and are for that truly 'a people's band', given to entertainment with a wry smile and rock soaked message attached.
