Armed with a passion for old-time country and still unclear of their exact familial relationships, Gene, Shirl and Cec formed the three-piece entertaining relatives on a leper colony they call home outside Narrandera, NSW. After a couple of gigs playing country standards at the local clubs and nursing homes... Gene penned his own lament to the drought 'Living on the Wheatbelt'. Gene pours his heart out on the old dobro after another year of failed crops and with the heavy feeling entering Unearthed will yield yet another bitter harvest. Gene Poole and the Inbreds are keen to take old-time country where it belongs... with the young people in the towns and cities.
