Brothers from the same mumma, Genes are a pumpin’, fun and energetic rock duo. Releasing their home produced Debut EP ‘Double Dennis’ in mid 2018 the dudes have every intention of expanding their horizons. With more music being released only a couple months after their Debut EP, Genes are looking to lock in some larger gigs and festivals in the near future :)

Genes is the musical alias of now Brisbane based musician Maddy Rowe, who with a knack for songwriting and an adoration of pop melodies, is making some of the most captivating music in Australia at the moment. Growing up in her hometown of Melbourne, Genes’ songwriting prowess was showcased through her work as a behind-the-scenes writer for guests including Young Franco and Kilter, but since has grown into a project of her own, one that brings an opportunity to showcase her prowess through a new and more personal lens. In a similar vein to Carly Rae Jepsen, Wafia & Broods, Genes is well on her way to joining these music powerhouses. Having already played main support for Sheppard and Eves Karydas, Genes is set to support Aussie icons Client Liaison in Brisbane on May 6th as well as performing at the Broncos halftime show in June.
