Edit history

Genius is an original 4 piece punk/rock band from Port Stephens/Newcastle formed in 2000. Genius played multiple shows in the Port Stephens Local area and Newcastle before releasing the Debut E.P Happy Family in 2006. Genius disbanded for awhile before reforming in late 2008 with a brand new line-up. Genius now consists of Jon Hanrahan (Vocals) Brent Dunlop (Guitar/Vocals) Matthew Bowles (Guitar/Vocals) Andrew Heasman (Drums). In December of 2009 Genius entered the studio once again with Aria nominated producer Greg Stace (One Dollar Short, Tonight Alive & Happy Family EP). As a result of the recordings the $9.99 EP was released in March of 2011 along with older studio demos as bonus tracks. Genius has now displayed their live show down to the central coast, Newcastle and their home town of Port Stephens.
