Gentleman Sir is a two-piece band hailing from Brisbane, QLD. The duo is largely a guitar driven outfit that relies on distinctive baritone vocal and persistent rhythm section to create a dark edged rock sound with alt. country leanings. Formed with a common aim to create music that is both sincere and honest, the band’s song-writing focuses on themes of lives lived and lost and the undercurrent, and often fragile, nature of relationships that exist in the space between. Gentleman Sir cite influences from Midlake, Bill Callahan, Gram Parsons, Ryan Adams, The Drones, and Townes Van Zandt, delivering a live performance that reinforces the intensity of their music's subject matter.
