We all met whilst studying music at NMIT several years ago. We all have a love for Jazz and that's what cemented our friendship. Gin Sling is basically a fusion concept. We wanted to take Trad Jazz Standards, lyrics we liked, harmonies and progressions. Fusing them with grooves, inspired by Roots and Funk. Gin Sling has been playing for 2 years. We believe not many other groups are doing the style we are aiming for. The benefit is we have gigged in many different types of venues from Dizzy's Jazz Club through to the Espy! I guess it's music to listen to on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
