Fun fact! My stage name 'Girl in a glitch' is a name I came up with in 2021, when I was 13 years old. The meaning behind the name? Here's the backstory... On 17th • 7th • 2017, when I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called Type 1 Diabetes, an autoimmune disease meaning it was not my fault, just pure 'luck' that I happened to get it. The way I understood it better when I was 10, when I was 'loading' to become a human, everything was going smoothly until it got to my pancreas, that only loaded to 10% before it 'glitched' out and therefore leaving me with this difficult disease. But 'why me?' I used to ask... Until one day I was put on a ward in the hospital with patients who had other illnesses, I suddenly realised, 'Hey! I'm not alone, don't get me wrong this is terrible but everyone is dealing with something.. I noticed that everyone is dealing with some kind of 'glitch'. A Glitch isn't the enemy, mine has led me to storytelling, music and living for today. ✨
