Sydney solo act GIVERNY creates a unique sound drawing on New Wave, Grunge and Dance. The creative sounds of GIVERNY are the inspiration of producer Phillip Spiteri, who is also the act’s sole singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. Dominated by a dark futuristic 80s influence, the GIVERNY portfolio features ambient futuristic pads, badly programmed drums and ugly guitars soaked in reverb. In 2016, GIVERNY released their first EP, ‘Liabilities’ – comprising three songs written in a bedroom, mixed by renowned audio engineer Antonia Gauci and mastered at Studios 301 in Sydney. In 2017 GIVERNY continues to write and collaborate with late 90s hardware-based producer DAMC, performing as techno DJ, David McCann. In mid 2017 GIVERNY debuted their live show supporting Oliver Tanks and BATTS and will continue to play more shows around Australia throughout 2017.
