With slick flows and catchy hooks, Melbourne hip-hop duo Glock 17 represent the crest of Australia’s new wave of hip-hop. Childhood friends Lil Raa and Rookie exude a shared charisma and presence, on and off the mic, forged from years of freestyling together. The dynamic duo have just finished recording their debut single ‘Tick Tock’, which is being supported by local shows. Blending Lil Raa’s melodic flows with Rookie’s trademark swagger, Glock 17 showcase their unique take on modern trap and hip-hop. Drawing influence from trap royalty Travis Scott, Migos, and NAV, the two breakthrough rappers never imitate, aiming to push the envelope of hip-hop and create a sound beyond the mainstream trends and Spotify charts.
