Gloomie has spent the past few years turning the trials of life into a sonic diary, capturing both its challenges and hard-earned lessons. Her latest track, "Deep Dive" is about her deep desire to fit in and feel embraced by the people around her, the lyrics are a little facetious at moments and are accompanied by a dark and whimsy production style that nods to classics like The Cure and Smashing Pumpkins. Currently based in Naarm/Melbourne Gloomie has pieced together her debut album that strips back another layer, venturing further into raw and unfiltered emotional territory. With new music in hand, Gloomie has spent the last two years road-testing her latest work on festival stages, including Parramatta Lanes, Port Kembla Fest, Great Southern Nights, and King Street Crawl, where she supported Tropical Fuck Storm.
