Golden Fang is a post indie guitar pop band that attempts to channel the raw sounds and energy of the indie bands they love. The Fang have gigged regularly over the last couple of years with notable and varied acts such as Front End Loader, X, Even As We Speak, Jo Meares and Charlie Marshall and the Body Electric. Based in Marrickville Sydney and started in 2014 by guitarists Teo Treloar, Carl Redfern and drummer Mark Hetherington. Lucky Money Sunshine is the bands 2nd album and was recorded in the winter of 2017 by punk rock legend Jay Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb) in his Marrickville studio “Pet Food Factory”. The album was written over the summer of 16/17 and debuted in a series of summer shows and recorded not long after by Jay who expertly captured the live vibe of the band. The songs are lyrically driven exercises in simplicity and energy that capture the spirit of music and life as it is and was in Sydney’s Inner West.
