Bruce Butler’s history in the music business stems from his early days, ie., attending local gigs as a spectator at his local haunt, the ‘Narrabeen Antler’ hotel which at the time was one of the most influencial live rock venues in the country which aired such energetic performers as Cold Chisel; Midnight Oil; INXS and the Divynals among many other top Australian artists. These live acts inspired Bruce’s energetic stage performances and influenced Bruce’s song-writing. – Between 1983 and 1995 Bruce played in various northern Sydney bands such as, ‘Lost Cause’ – ‘The stringers’ and ‘Livid’ where he honed his art for song-writing. Bruce resided in Sydney until 1999 and took residence in Byron Bay where he persued his song-writing. – As a consequence Bruce is releasing his most recent CD titled, ‘My Town’ which is a culmination of material written about his life experiences here in Australia and OS. – The material on Bruce’s latest CD release is a combination of styles which
