For fans of The Smith Street Band, Australian accents, and weekly choices between a Friday night out with your mates and staying in to avoid an argument with your partner, Grant Larseny is what Billy Bragg might sound like if he played a bunch of Frenzal Rhomb songs reimagined by Paul Kelly. Recorded during the week between Christmas and New Years in 2017, and scheduled around a two-month-old baby, Larseny's debut album, Dirty Laundry is ten tracks that address a range of real world issues, from recreational drug use, to the challenges of being a single parent, to various musings on modern relationships. All tied together with a healthy dose of self-deprecating introspection and Larseny’s unique brand of story telling, Dirty Laundry is honest, relatable, and familiar, with a little twist of lemon.
