Greg Kew is a solo artist based in Byron Bay. He has been performing live in the area since 2003. For the last number of years Greg has been playing his music up and down the east coast on regular tours, including two month residencies in the snow. You can hear 70's style rock and folk in his songs but with a modern sound. He has just released a new album, 'New Ancient' which is a rock album that has "finally been realised". The songs are dynamic in sound and arrangement and longing and wistful in melody. "I wanted to capture strong vocal melodies and guitar riffs and solos that carry you further into the emotion of the song." This self-funded project has taken Greg about a year to see to its completion. On this album you’ll hear some good old fashioned musicianship. The sound is sweet, but raw in production. "The album was recorded in 8 days, but the mixing, mastering and final pressing of CD's have taken me months of playing and touring to save the money to finish it. I wanted to
