I am a singer songwriter from Queensland Australia. My own songs are based on freedom and justice. The Silk Road (my first album) is a 27 minute song that has 6 chapters. It covers the injustice of political imprisonment and the failure of ones own government to intervene on ones behalf. It is exciting and moving at the same time producing a musical experience that has been called; 'a movie of sound'. I am constantly looking at human struggle and trying to find ways to help people overcome adversity. My big influence in music has been and still is The Pink Floyd. Their long play progressive rock still haunts me today some 30-40 years after being released. They captured the need to protest and the method of protesting that was both peaceful and entertaining. This album is some-what, a new concept, in that it is one song broken into chapters where listening to the entire album (as one song) will make all the parts fit into one story.
