In its current line up, Groovinator has been together for around 4 years, although the origins of the band go back over 14 years under various other names including, Groovemeister and Groove Daddy. Pumping out slick original sounds, as well as some great Australian covers, Groovinator covers a very wide variety of music styles, from reggae and jazz to Blues and rock to funk and dance. Although the members of the band are motivated by the creation & performance of original music, there is a very strong leaning towards some cherished Australian tunes such as, Great Southern land (Icehouse), Dumb Things (Paul Kelly), Don’t Change (INXS) and Holy Grail (Hunters and Collectors). Also included in the set are some great blues and jazz classics such as, All Blues (Miles Davis) and Peter Gunn (Henry Mancini), just to name a couple.
