Formed in early ‘06, Newcastle band Grots Vegas play ‘music for people in pubs’ and promise a humourous and lively show. “We aim our material somewhere between the thinker and the drinker”, says frontwoman CW Grot, formerly of Nancy Vandal. The trio also features TS Grot on guitar and BFD Grot on drums. The 4th member of the band is actually an ipod, filling out the sound nicely and wrestling these three gargantuan talents into one almighty rock ‘n’ roll juggernaut. All three tracks from their soon-to-be-released debut EP, 'Fear And Loathing With Grots Vegas', have now been made available on Triple J Unearthed - from the pumping set-closer 'Control' to the strangely compelling 'Here Comes the Darkness', and finally to the existential wankfest of 'Pretty'.
