Gypsy by Night formed in June, 2011, originally starting as an acoustic band. Over time, they continued to explore different genres while playing live and their shows continued to develop until their Indie/Rock flavour shined through and the acoustic guitars were abandoned. Progressively honing their sound and consistently writing original material, Gypsy by Night sparked interest and began gigging weekly after a month of being together. In December 2011, Gypsy by Night entered the studio to record their 5 track EP, working under the title of 'Join the Circus EP'. This experience lead to the transformation, writing and gigging that has taken place in 2012. In January 2012, the punk influence of Gypsy by Night began to shine and it was time to start gigging at venues around central Adelaide.
