Jimmy Phoenix (A Whale Called Phoenix) and Stacey Gray (Comets), are back with another glorious double single release Oohlala/PaddleSteamer continues on from the duo's last release fusing both Jimmy's  singing and songwriting with Stacy's distinct and clever new wave production. Both songs were recorded in Nyora by Tim Smyth at Ghostwriter Sounds who also contributes to the bands production and sound. Oohlala/PaddleSteamer embodies both Industrial and Pop elements that utilise saturation and complex production skills. Jimmy's vocals are operatic in scope and have a gutsy folk Australiana tinge to them. This mixed with Stacy's groove and midas touch take the listener deep into sonic bliss territory, a landscape of song that is futuristic, noir and cinematic. GypsyCollector focuses on spontaneity in the creative process allowing natural instinct to guide them. Oohlala also features guest vocals from Baxter Avalon (Lilith Lane)
