H. L. Jones is a singer-songwriter, producer, and composer from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. His brand of alternative folk music incorporates Christian themes and old hymns, with an emphasis on creativity and originality. Like most people, H. L. Jones began life in utero. Decades later, he’s writing catchy songs that burst with pop sensibility and exploring deeper themes, such as the meaning of life. Not averse to pushing boundaries, Jones layers a wide variety of instrumentation; utilising everything from acoustic guitars and layered vocals to the ambience of nature, and even the creaking of his old desk. When he’s not making music, Jones likes to build things out of wood, play with his kids, eat Oreos, and complain about his sore knee ... but he still enjoys romantic dinners, long walks on the beach and buying nice things for his wife when the opportunity presents.
