Emotive, melodic and honest. Based in one of the most isolated cities in the world, ‘Halflight’ is the solo project of Fremantle’s self-taught guitarist, bedroom composer and 'bold introvert', Mason Tate. Following a life-changing week with Plini and Aaron Marshall (Intervals) in the mountain ranges of New York, inspiration ran fervent and Halflight was born. After a string of guest solos, an online collaboration recognised by Universal Music Romania and some words of wisdom from Olly Steele (Monuments), the writing process was complete, and with the invaluable help of Sally King (Design + Artwork) and Emmett Carroll (Production/Engineering), ‘State of Being’ came to life.
