BEATS & TROPICAL FLAVOURS. Halfway Bay is the solo project of Adelaide-based producer Darryl Bennett (one half of electronic duo Hold Fast For Now). Taking cues from artists like Mo Kolours, Quantic and Madlib, he blends a variety of sounds together to arrive at something unique. Inspired by Caribbean music and a healthy diet of classic dub, deep basslines roll beneath a mix of organic and electronic percussion, steel drum, kalimba and melodica.
